I like to say, "I'm a nerd in your corner!" Financial planning has been my study for many years now. After getting my Bachelor's degree in Personal Financial Planning, I went on to earn the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Wealth Management Certified Professional (WMCP®), & Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) designations to further my understanding of financial planning and tax-efficient strategies.
After working in both large and small financial firms, I kept running into the same problem: clients weren't getting the personalized advice their situation called for. In my opinion, the firms always had way too many clients per advisor. I started Focal Point Financial Planning to fix that. Fee-only, independent, and built around the planning areas many advisors don’t want to dig into: tax impact, retirement income structure & timing, and coordinating with the client’s other professionals.
I work with a small number of households on purpose. Every client deals with me directly for their planning. You are more than just a name on a sheet or the dollars in your account. Your goals are worth the focused attention of a trusted advisor.
